Celebrate World Migratory Bird Day and Learn All About Birds
An afternoon for children and parents learning all about birds. Where they nest, why they sing, what they eat. How we can welcome them to our Community.
Children and parents are invited to enjoy opportunities to connect with nature, enjoy birds and learn how to protect them. We will offer interactive activities, crafts and displays 'all about birds' that answer the questions:
What kinds of birds are there?
What do birds eat?
Where do they make their nests?
How to birds help us?
Why do they fly and how far?
What can we do to protect birds in our City?
Michole Rubinoff is going to bring Butterfly Way Information and winter stratified seeds to distribute.
A scavenger hunt for pictures of birds in the library.
Take a guided bird walk with Walk Leader Kathleen.
